Breaching Inlet inlets are installed outside the building or any easily accessible area in the building for fire brigade personnel to access the inlet. This inlet is used by the fire brigade personnel to access water. It is normally dry but is used to pump water by charging using fire fighting equipment. Breaching Inlet inlets are used in buildings for firefighting purposes, fitted with inlet connection at Civil Breaching Inlet access level and outlet connection at specified points, which is normally dry but capable of being charged with water by pumping from fire service appliances. The 2-way Breaching Inlet inlets has 2 x 2½” Instantaneous male non-return valve inlets and a 4″ outlet. The 4-way inlet Breaching Inlet has 4 x 2½” Instantaneous male non-return valve inlets and a 6 outlet along with 1″ drain valve.

Breaching Inlet inlets are suitable for installation on dry risers only, in a building for fire fighting purposes, fitted with inlet connection at fire brigade access level and outlet connection at specified points, which is normally dry but capable of being charged with water by pumping from fire service appliances. The Breaching Inlet inlets are manufactured with care to comply with safety standards comprising of male instantaneous connections, drain valves, and non-return valves. The Breaching Inlet inlets and its fittings are suitable for a normal working pressure of 10 bar.

The materials used in the manufacture of the Breaching Inlet inlets are in conformity to the standard’s requirement. The body is cast from spheroidal graphite iron and the inlets are made of gunmetal and copper alloy parts with bronze spring, stainless steel Breaching Inlet , washer, etc. The internal part of the Breaching Inlet inlet bodies is coated with “black” epoxy cold tar paint which is a good anti-corrosion protection. The inlet blank caps are rubber with chrome chain. Brass or gunmetal blank caps are also available upon request.

2-Way and 4-Way Breaching Inlet Inlet body is made of spheroidal graphite iron according to BS 2789 or Cast Iron to BS 1452. The outlet flange is according to BS 4504 and inlet is according to BS Instantaneous Male.

These are intended to be used by the fire brigade to provide them readily available means of water in considerable quantities to prevent the spread of fire.
